Sit, Stay, Recall, Lead Walking, Play manners... all the key skills you'd expect and wish for a well-trained puppy to have!
Handling considerately and appropriately for real-life scenarios such as basic husbandry, vet visits, and grooming.
Build your toolbox to suit a range of needs and contexts which in turn will help contribute to a calm and happy puppy!
I don't just want to give you the steps to follow along, I want you to understand how training works and therefore come away feeling confident in what you've learnt and able to apply it in future!
I'll deliver several short talks during the course, which cover key areas of knowledge that are important for every owner to be aware of - from dog law to common hazards to basic canine body language.
Struggling with one of the many common puppy problems at home, such as toileting, mouthing, jumping up, or separation stress? I'n here to support you and provide help and troubleshooting tips.
I'm insured with PBI, who are the only UK insurer covering professional work with banned breeds. I want dogs of all types to be able to access equal training opportunities, so dogs of any type are welcome in my classes.
I don't have an upper age limit for my puppy classes, as I find that very often owners of older puppies find themselves in need of some training and support - many of my classes see pups of 6-9 months of age, so don't worry that your puppy may be a little older!
If your dog has a sight, hearing, or mobility impairment, you may be worried about whether you can attend group classes. I'll always do what I can to make my teaching accessible, and have worked with disabled dogs in the past.
Puppies who haven't completed their full course of vaccinations should wait until they're fully covered before attending my group classes. This is for your puppy's safety, as in a shared venue I can't guarantee what other dogs or wild animals may have been present.
Please do not bring your dog to group classes while unwell or injured, unless cleared by a vet. This is to prevent the spread of common illnesses such as Kennel Cough or stomach bugs, and protects the others in the room as well as your own dog. Injured dogs should not be brought to class unless this has been cleared with a vet and discussed with me beforehand.
If your dog is reactive towards other dogs or people, then a group class environment is not going to benefit them in any way. More likely, this setting will make your dog feel stressed and unhappy, and this will impact others in the room as well. If your dog is struggling with reactivity, 1:1 Sessions would be more suitable, and we can discuss what steps to take regarding this reactivity.
Group classes offer a great, cost-effective way to get your training in, plus there's the added bonus of networking with other local, likeminded dog owners and drawing on support not only from your Trainer but also those around you who share your experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions
Due to the fact that my venues are shared spaces, in order to protect your puppy's health and wellbeing, I ask that all pups complete their full course of vaccinations prior to attending. If you're uncertain about how this process works or the timeline you need to follow, please speak with your breeder and/or your vet, or book a free discovery call with me to talk in more detail.
I've never implemented an upper age limit for my puppy course as I believe that it's never too late to get started! Many training clubs have a maximum age limit on their puppy course, but I'm more than happy for puppies of any age to attend.
If you're looking for basic training for a dog who is 12 months or older, I may recommend booking a free Discovery Call to chat with me further, as at this stage you may find 1:1s more beneficial. This is purely due to the nature of the content of Perfect Pups, which is aimed at equipping owners with knowledge and skills for early developmental stages as well as completing basic training, and by 12 months you may already be well past the need for this!
I do my very best to ensure that my classes are as accessible as possible to anyone who wishes to attend. If you have any specific needs, please reach out to discuss this with me prior to booking - you can book a free call with me to do so by clicking the button below. To date, I have worked with puppies presenting visual impairment and with mobility issues, and would encourage you to reach out even if you're not sure whether group classes are something your puppy can manage.
Of my venues, St. Andrew's (Coulsdon) and St. Edmund's (Purley) are both accessible, with ramped wheelchair access available plus dedicated bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, the Scout Hut @ St. Mark's is currently not completely accessible - while there is a ramp leading up to the hut, there is also a step into the hut over the threshold, which may make it unsuitable for most wheelchairs or scooters. There are also no accessible bathrooms in this part of the facility. If you would like to chat further about accessibility to any of my venues, please book in your free call with me to talk in more depth about this.
Yes! In 2024, I switched insurers in order to be able to offer my services to owners of dogs considered 'banned breeds' under the DDA. I can work with you and your dog providing that you are able to follow the conditions of your dog's exemption order, in both a 1:1 setting and in group classes. I welcome dogs of all types, and both professionally and personally am very vocally against breed specific legislation.
